engine not starting on hot days

Hi All,

I have a ’91 Integra that I’ve had since last fall.   When I first got
it, I would have trouble starting it on hot days (80 degrees + sitting
out in a parking lot.)  It just doesn’t turn over until 5-10 minutes
after first trying to start it.  Then the weather cooled and the
problem went away.  Well it’s starting to get warm again and I had my
first non-start of the year, so I’ll have to do something about it
now.  Anyone have any ideas before I bring it to a shop?  Just a
temperature gauge not working right?  Thanks for your opinions.

Re: fuckedcar.com – crashes, unusual cars and wild rides.

I strongly urge you to do a search on Yahoo for "Daewoo" and see what a lot
of people are saying about their Daewoo’s. It’s NOT what you have been
saying in this thread. They also expose the fact that General Motors had
Daewoo build the "LeMans" series cars for 4 years and they were terrible.

Accord Accelerator Pump

On our Accord LX,  the accelarator pump in the carburater is bad which
causes
the engine to not start-up unless fuel is poured in the carburater
first, according
to a local shop.  They say this would cost over 2 or 3 hundered dollars
to repair
as a part  of a rebuilding job.  Can someone suggest maybe a more
economical
solution????

Acura TL

I am considering buying a TL (possibly the Type-S) and would like to know
about any problems I should look out for. Basically the quality. I don’t
want to be replacing major parts a few months after buying the car. My other
choice is the Infiniti I30. If anyone could contribute some of their
experiences with the TL it would help me out a lot. Thanks.

"Canadian" Parts – tail lamps

I’m headin’ up to British Columbia next week and thought I’d replace the
broken passenger tail-light lens on my 2000, 4 door, Integra. I e-mailed
ahead to dealers in Vancouver and Victoria (since I’ll get to both), and
figured I could maybe save some money on the piece. One site advertised
savings what with the great exchange rate… but one said they "don’t sell
parts for US-built cars" (from an Acura dealer)… to which I thought, odd,
I’m SURE my Integra was built in Japan.

Question: are their variant forms of stock tail-lights (within the 4 door
set)?

Thanks.

New Nav DVD when?

I bought a 2001 TL back in October and was wondering how often new nav DVDs
come out.  Also, since I believe Alpine makes the unit, will an Alpine disk
work in the unit?  I have heard conflicting things and wonder if anyone has
actually tried it.

TIA

'92 Integra Clutch Problem?

Today while driving I downshifted and when I let go of the clutch pedal
it seemed to stick to the floor a bit.  Then I noticed some difficulty
in shifting.  Now the pressure point of the clutch pedal is much closer
to the floor than it was before.

Do I need a new clutch or can it be adjusted?  I don’t think anything
else could be wrong.

Advice?

'89 Legend electric seat problem…

Has anyone attempted to replace the battery for the electric seat/memory
function on an ’89 Legend?  The memory function began "forgetting" the
programs for each of the 3 memory locations months ago and now does nothing
at all!!!  Thanks in advance for your input!!
