99 Voyager Transmission/Selenoid Problems

My 99 Plymouth Voyager started having problems the other day with the
transmission (or I think it’s the transmission) It drove fine until it
should have gone into 3rd gear but stayed in 2nd the whole ride. the MPH
needle stayed on zero although I was doing about 25 MPH. But when it did
shift from 1st to 2nd the mph needle on the dash, zipped from zero to 120
(the max on the dash) then back to zero again, although the engine didnt
do anything other than switch to 2nd gear. Also, I had about 3/4 of a tank
of gas and the needle started reading that it was full. My friend says its
a selenoid sensor but my mechanic, who agrees its the selenoid sensor,
says to get to those sensors, he has to open up the transmission, b/c
those sensors are inside the transmission. I’ve never heard of anything
electrical, such as sensors, being inside of a transmission so I am
hesitant to have my mechanic do the job just yet until I hear from anyone
out there that might know a little more about this or have some experience
with this situation. the job will be quite expensive so if anyone has any
advice on what I can do, please let me know. I appreciate any help
offered. The engine is a 3.3 litre, V6, transmission is automatic.

RSX Type S Body Side Molding

I just bought an RSX Type S.  Is putting body side molding on it to protect
it from door dings a stupid idea?  If not, what product would you suggest.

Thanks,

'05 MDX???

I’m considering a lease on a new ’05 MDX.
Anyone have any opinions on this car or other vehicles in it’s class? What
should I be paying for it in the NY/NJ area?

Thanks in advance for any input.
John.

2002 RSX-S Musty Smell

Hey guys. Seems like my cabin smells musty at times. It smells the worst
when I turn the A/C on, but a lingering "musty-and-leather" unpleasant odor
seems to be present more often than not. I have cleaned out the cabin
(powerwashed the damp floormats) and I vacuumed out the 2 cabin filters
(they do need to be replaced and were dusty and gross, but I don’t think
this accounts for the smell… plus I Lysoled them…).

Anybody have any ideas? I’m currently masking the smell with an air
freshener… I have heard that A/C evaporator cores can get fungusy or
drain hoses can get plugged… where are these located on the RSX?

 Thanks,

 Paul

1987 integra clutch problem

Hi all

I just finished replacing my clutch but for some reason when i
connected my clutch cable i had to adjust it to almost the very end of
the threads, as if my clutch is still old. its working right now but
if its a brand new clutch shouldn’t i have a lot more room for
adjustment? does anybody know what is wrong?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
