Straight from USAToday.
4 years / 50k miles just went to 7 years / 100k miles on the tranny for
Acura.
The S3 light blinks most of the time, and the check engine light comes on
about 30% of the time.
Any ideas what might cause this?
Thanks in advance,

I purchased a 2003 TLS on 6/31 and noticed a couple minor defects in the
cars interior. At night, I noticed light coming from the glove box. I
opened and closed the glove box to make sure it was closed correctly, and
light still emitted from inside. After ignoring it for a couple months, I
decided to investigate with a Phillips screwdriver. I loosened three screws
and quickly found the problem. A notch hole that holds the clip, which
secures the knee panel, was BROKEN. Looks like it happened during the
manufacturing process.
I called the dealer and scheduled an appointment for Monday to take a look
at it. The notch hole looks to be connected to the dash board, in which
they would have to replace the dash to fix the problem. I’m just not sure
if I want the dealer & underpaid mechanics ripping out my whole dash to fix
this problem. More problems could surface after having the dash replaced,
like scratches, squeaky dash and so on…
The other defect is a warped plastic frame around the Navi. Easily
replaced.
Is a dash easily replaced?
Has anybody noticed minor manufacturer defects on their 2001-03 TL Type-S.
If so, what was the defect and what did you do?

Wondering how CD’s hold up through heat/cold when left in an in-dash changer
(’03 TL).

I noticed that on the Gates Belts website they show that a 1989 Legend
requires a timing belt change at 60,000 miles but it uses an identical belt
to a 1990 Legend. However, the 1990 model has a recommended change at 90,000
miles.
Why is there a 50% longer life with the same belt and "identical" engine?
I had my belt changed in 1995 and now have racked up 60,000 miles. Should I
assume that I can continue to use the 90,000 miles guidelines?
Also do the exhaust valves require adjustment? Engine has about 150,000
miles and has received regular oil changes (every 3k) since 60,000 miles.
Just thought I’d post this FYI:

Hello,
It’s just about time for me to replace the timing belt on my 90
Integra (almost 300,000km!). I’m planning on also getting the water
pump as well as the 3 drive belts replaced, as well as a coolant
flush.
I was wondering if there’s anything else I should consider replacing
at the same time. It had been suggested to me that I also replace the
tensioner, tensioner spring, camshaft seals, and front crankshaft
seal. The tensioner I can understand, but are the seals really worth
it? The ones currently on the car seem to be doing just fine, and I’m
afraid that if they’re replaced, it might be the cause of new leaks.
Thanks!
My new (600 miles) TL was dented/scratched while in for a recall. Of course
they’ll "fix" it, but I’ve never seen spot repair/paint equal to new.
If this were anything other than a car, I’d just exchange it for a good one.
I assume this is just a case of "something bad happened to me"?
