This afternoon I drove across town (about a 20 minute drive) and I stopped
somewhere for about 30 minutes. Then when I left I started my car and the
engine was idling so slow (the very first line right after 0 RPM…id say
about 500 rpm) it was about to die. It sounded like crap and the car was
all shaking. I noticed the only light left on my panel was the "TCS" light.
I did this for about 10 seconds and I tried reving it a bit while in park
and it sounded like I was trying to accelerate in 5th gear (if it were a
5-speed manual). Then the TCS light went off and the engine jumped up to
normal idling RPM (about 750-800 rpm i think). I drove it around and I
tried it later and I noticed that the car kind of starts idling really slow
and clunky for the first second or two after I start it until all the lights
on the dash turn off (the TCS lastly). Its always done this and its not
even bad (hardly noticable) behavior. but today it took like 10 seconds to
have the TCS turn off and start running normal. It didn’t do it the rest of
the day. Any ideas????
