Fuel Injecting flush on MDX?

Gotta take my MDX in for regular maintenance 48,000km.
My dealer said I should do some sort of fuel injector flush or cleaning or
whatever the hell it was he said.

This isn’t in the manual, I think. Is this just a "scam" to get more money
by the dealer?

Thanks,
Isaac

WTB: OEM or replacement antenna 90 Legend

The gear inside my electric antenna is stripping.

I want to replace the motor/antenna with a fixed antenna. I rememebr
an off-road antenna called an ugly stick. It was a short, thick
flexible mast that did a better job than most full size antenna’s.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this?

If I can’t, I will replace the motor/antenna. Any sources?

that's it, I have modified my stock rsx-s 2002

Hi,

I had to change the air filter on my stock 2002 rsx-s and while at it, I
have done the modifications to the air box suggested on Hondata:

http://www.hondata.com/kseriesairboxmod.html

Of course I also put in a *brand new air filter* but:

-Engine seems to breath easier now and it seems to have more torque at
low RPM, I do not seem to feel the 4000-6000 RPM torque hole as much now.

-I can’t really tell the difference at 8,100 rpm but it is supposed to
give a few more horses.

Anybody else have tried those modifications to the air box?

Any comments?

Those Hondata guys sure seem to know their stuff and that little
modification feels like an appetizer when you look at comments on what
the Hondata ECU does to your motor. It sure makes me want to get the ECU
too.

Looking forward for feedback,

Cheers,

-john

Leaking Exhaust…?

I have a 2003 RSX Premium and have noticed that the car really stinks as
thou’ the exhaust is leaking. I reported it to my local Acura garage and
they told me that as it’s a new type of catalyst (spelling?) on this model
it is prone to smell with the change over from summer to winter (and of
course winter to summer) gas…! Anybody else come across this and if so did
you find some miracle cure for it..?

Just ordered a K&N air filter for my 01 GSR.  Anyone have any experience

Cloud of smoke from engine!!!!! ('03 TL)

Hi,
I just had my 2003 TL serviced the other day (the 30k mile service
package).  After picking my car up from the dealer, I took a  trip to
another town for a meeting.  After driving for about 45 minutes or so…I
was getting off on the offramp when a huge cloud of white smoke came out of
my engine.  I was already at my destination…so I went to my meeting and
about 2 hours later, called a tow truck to tow my car (I had no idea what it
could be).  Tow truck guy checks my oil and says there is no engine oil in
there ??  When it got to the dealer, they said it was a mistake on their
part (an oversight) that they overfilled the transmission fluid.  They said
this had nothing to do with the engine oil…but that the transmission fluid
was over filled and all the smoke was the excess burning off on the hot
engine.

Does this make sense??  Think the dealer is feeding me some crap?

Anybody think any damage to engine or tranny was possible?

What about the engine oil….think acura is lying about the engine oil or
think the tow-truck guy was doped up on drugs??

Great experience with Redline synthetic oil.

I feel obligated to post about my good experiences with Redline Oil.

I’ve used their oils, gear lubes, and injector cleaners in lots of family
vehicles for many years.

Their products have consistently been the best I’ve tried. Cars have run
smoother, used less oil,  and shifted better when I use their products.

But what really impressed me, and compelled me to post, is the commitment to
the customer that Redline has demonstrated.

When I had some special use questions and asked for extraordinary customer
service…. the owner of the company provided personal service and answered my
questions

Great customer service is when the company dazzles you!

And Redline came through!

This is the best sort of combination of great products and genuine commitment
to the customer.
