"Canadian" Parts – tail lamps

I’m headin’ up to British Columbia next week and thought I’d replace the
broken passenger tail-light lens on my 2000, 4 door, Integra. I e-mailed
ahead to dealers in Vancouver and Victoria (since I’ll get to both), and
figured I could maybe save some money on the piece. One site advertised
savings what with the great exchange rate… but one said they "don’t sell
parts for US-built cars" (from an Acura dealer)… to which I thought, odd,
I’m SURE my Integra was built in Japan.

Question: are their variant forms of stock tail-lights (within the 4 door
set)?

Thanks.

Try Canadian Tire. Should be about 1/2 the price of Acura replacement
    parts.

I have a feeling that Canadian Tire isn’t going to stock parts for a 2000
Integra. They usually have a lot of Domestic parts but to find new, Import
(or Domestic for that matter) parts would be rare. You might have a hard
time finding a tail light for a 2000 four door Integra cause they stopped
selling 4 door Teg’s here for a few years now (I’m assuming that the 4 door
tail light color scheme changed in 98 with the 2 door). The EL 1.6 was used
to fill the gap. Just how much are the lights in the States? You might be
able to get a set of Altezza style lights (if you like them) for less in BC.

    Just a thought..

Yes, Canadian Tire didn’t have them.

    I see. Thanks.

$131 for just the outer part (not the part on the trunk) per side.

    Thanks so much.
